My responsibilities focus primarily on site planning and design. Specifically, I work on site grading, design of storm sewer and stormwater management facilities, and erosion and sediment control. My duties also include site visits, meetings with clients, and coordination of information between clients and other members of design teams.
How long have you worked with Draper Aden Associates and how have your responsibilities increased?
I’ve worked at Draper Aden Associates since March of 2006. In one year with DAA I’ve become more involved with the entire design process, have increasing interaction with clients and other sub-consultants, and have been working in the role of lead project designer.
What types of projects do you work on?
Most of the projects I’ve worked on have been commercial or multi-family residential/mixed use developments. Some examples are a winery and wine tasting facility, a construction and demolition debris recycling facility, multiple projects in the development of an outdoor hunting and fishing resort and golf course, as well research and writing for the development of a stormwater ordinance and utility fee for a small city.

Looking back to your college years, what types of internships or jobs did you have that have helped your career path?
I had a summer internship with Hydrodesigns Inc., a small company that designed irrigation and pumping systems, primarily for golf courses.
